Fear, Its Influence in Conversion

Jens Haven, one of the first missionaries to the Eskimo Indians, of Labrador, while a careless youth, was awakened by a violent thunderstorm, the electricity of which struck him senseless to the ground. As soon as he recovered, he got upon his knees and cried to God for mercy and for conversion; and, from that day, was a new man, soon after devoting his life to mission work among the Moravians.

It will be remembered that Luther passed through an almost identical experience.
